Rabbits, Oryctolagus Cuniculus, were introduced to Britain by the Romans descending from North Africa. They are widespread in both country and city areas. Rabbits can cause major damage to fields, burrowing into banks and with bolt holes hidden in the field a high risk to livestock. These hidden bolt holes have been known to strain or break an animals leg. Without you realizing 15% of your pasture can be eaten by rabbits, depleting your grass yield. Rabbits in the garden can cause huge amounts of damage, as well as eating your flower, plant and vegetable stock.
